26 January | São Miguel Island Guided Tour
The World Conference on Qualitative Research aims to be an opportunity for attendees to discover the amazing locations where the event is hosted. The WCQR2024 is no exception, therefore it will include an all-day guided tour of São Miguel on January 26th.

Journey through the south road, with a stop at Miradouro do Pisão, where you can see a beautiful panoramic view over the Caloura village and the south coast.

Terra Nostra Park
The tour continues in the direction of Furnas to Parque Terra Nostra. Upon arrival, depending on the number of people, the group may be divided.

Terra Nostra Thermal Bath
One group will visit the park, and the other will take a bath in the thermal swimming pool, after which groups will swap.

'Cozido' Lunch at Furnas
The tour will depart to Furnas Valley to see the 'cozido' be taken out of the steaming hole, a typical dish of São Miguel island. Return to Furnas village to have lunch at Casino Terra Nostra, an iconic place of Furnas.

Pico do Ferro
After lunch, departure to Ponta Delgada through the north coast with a stop at Pico do Ferro belvedere, where the visitors can see the fascinating sight of Furnas Valley, on the bottom of a crater, the village of Furnas and the lake, all surrounded by luxuriant vegetation.

Gorreana Tea Plantation
The tour continues to Ribeira Grande with a stop at Sta. Iria Belvedere, to admire the North coast of the Island. En route, a Tea plantation and Tea Factory can be visited.
